TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Delivery
All orders are carefully packaged and dispatched as quickly as possible. Delivery times may vary depending on your location and the efficiency of local postal services.
Shipping & Responsibility
Once your order has been handed to the postal service or courier, responsibility for loss or damage passes to you, the customer. Jonathan Lawes Ltd cannot be held liable for parcels damaged or delayed in transit.
If your parcel is returned to us as unclaimed, or due to an incorrect or inaccessible delivery address, additional postage costs will apply to resend the order.
International Orders & Import Taxes
Orders shipped outside the United Kingdom may be subject to import duties, taxes, or customs fees. These charges are determined by your local customs authority and are the sole responsibility of the customer. Jonathan Lawes Ltd does not cover or reimburse these costs.
Handling and Shipping Your Artwork
Each artwork is carefully prepared, wrapped in acid-free tissue paper, and packaged to ensure it reaches you in excellent condition. Depending on the piece, works are shipped either flat in a reinforced envelope, rolled in a sturdy postal tube, or, for framed artworks, securely packed in protective materials with corner guards and glass safety coverings.
If your order includes a framed piece with glass, it will be packed using protective wrap and cushioning to reduce movement during transit. While every effort is made to ensure safe delivery, please handle the package with care upon arrival and inspect it before removing the wrapping. Always open framed pieces on a clean, flat surface and avoid placing pressure directly on the glass.
For unframed prints delivered in tubes, we recommend gently pulling on the tissue paper rather than the print itself when removing it, to prevent creasing or tears. Allow the print to rest flat before framing to help it settle naturally.
Every effort is made to ensure your artwork arrives safely and beautifully presented, ready to be enjoyed or professionally framed.
Returns Policy
All prints are genuine limited edition or unique artworks. As such, returns are only accepted in the unlikely event that your order arrives damaged or defective. If you experience an issue with your artwork, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with details and photographs of the damage so we can review and arrange a return or replacement where appropriate.
Exchanges are not offered, except in exceptional circumstances and at the sole discretion of Jonathan Lawes Ltd.
When returning an approved item, please clearly mark the parcel ‘RETURN’ and send it to:

United Kingdom
We cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to returned goods while in transit. For your protection, please use a tracked postal or courier service and retain proof of postage.
Refunds Policy
If you are not fully satisfied with your artwork, you may return it for a full refund (excluding postage and packaging costs).
To qualify, the print must be returned in its original condition and protective packaging within 14 days of receipt.
Once the artwork has been inspected and approved, your refund will be processed to the original payment method.
These terms do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
Private Commissions
Private commissions are agreed upon directly between the client and Jonathan Lawes Ltd. Once a final design and price are confirmed:
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required before production begins.
The remaining 50% balance must be paid before the artwork is dispatched.
Shipping costs are payable by the client, and all commissions are sent using a tracked delivery service.
Please note that personalised and commissioned artworks are exempt from cancellation or refund, as they are created to order.
